I still haven’t received the email either, but my portal has been updated as well as the Strategic Professional Certificate is in the documents.

After exact three years of FIA and ACCA exams, I have officially become an ACCA Affiliate after passing APM with 63.

A tip for everyone else planning on attempting or reattempting APM, after being unsuccessful at it twice, I went through the most critical evaluation of what I lacked and had a go at it.

Improved my time management, and worked as fast as I could. Practiced all past papers till atleast 2015 and finally watched lons of videos that are available on YouTube.

    All the very best everyone.

I received my transcripts in mid of December and the award letter itself on 3rd of January. I live in Saudi Arabia, so good timing of sending the documents despite UK being in Lockdown during those days.

For the Dubai graduations, things have gotten better in the Middle East especially in the GCC, so hoping for March/April graduation ceremony. Lets see.

I am a finalist as well. Sat APM for the third time sadly. The only ACCA paper which has bothered me to the core, my only unsuccessful attempt throughout the journey.

Honestly, not nervous at all. I did the paper well this time, properly timed it, attempted it completely, tried my best, rest it depends upon the world and the examiner.

I am so busy with the start of audit season that I forgot the results about to be out within 10 days, good luck everyone.

Guys, we need someone to help us understand HOW TO SOLVE THE PAPER.

This is the biggest issue we face, we are not approaching the paper right.

What do you guys think we should do?

Should we have our own Zoom classes?

Is there anyone who could help us students understand the paper and how to attempt it successfully?

Looks like I am not alone with this issue.

    @Nadia
I completely understand your feeling, I am in the same situation as you. APM was my first fail and I was gutted. I have always outperformed in all the other papers.

May I ask, when you get the review back from the appeal, can you please share a post here in the APM Forum so students like us can understand what we lack.

I understand we need to upgrade our techniques and I did it this time.

I just can’t understand what I did wrong.

Unfortunately, couldn’t pass APM on second attempt.

The only paper which I have failed in so far.

Really cant understand what I did wrong. The exam went really well this time around.

Any tips guys, should I go ahead with a new paper or stick to APM.?

On a side note, apologies to our fellow ACCA students who are still at the early stages of the papers and have been poorly overtaken by us finalist. We finalists are sort of going through mid-life crisis despite being in our early 20s ? so you can expect such mess from us.

Many good luck to you guys and I hope it is soon that you can feel the rush of being a finalist.

If you guys need help, we all are a message away.

Guys, I have been trying to reach out the ACCA MiddleEast officials and thankfully one of the education manager reached out to me themselves. This is what they have said, after I specifically asked if not receiving the email meant we were unsuccessful:

    “Hi Tasbiha,

I understand the feeling and would like to reassure you that if you have not received the email that in no way signifies that you have failed the exam. The reason a few students have not received this email is because the issue was picked up in time and all communications were put to a stop.

Inshallah you will receive your results tomorrow and hoping for them to turn out to be positive. Stay calm and keep yourself postive ok.

All will be for the good.”

I personally know the education manager as we met on an ACCA membership awarding ceremony. I hope this works out for us because in my mind I know I cannot fail the exams, I did really well.

    Good Luck.

Honestly, I feel sick to my stomach.

I still can’t believe that there is a high possibility that I could have not been successful.

I completed both SBL and APM in time, did all the questions well and even compared my answers to all the students on the forum.

I don’t know what to expect anymore.

I have had some people reach me on LinkedIn about this but still those are mere words and the helplessness in these last two days have been the worst.

I will still not give up and go ahead and give my papers again (if required). No way am I letting this mess up on their side, mess up with my life. These were the last two days of grieving, it is time to get back to work people.

    DO NOT GIVE UP..!!

    @bereank @spango @ddmoo @sarahc92

Thank you for the replies and recommendations.

I will definitely think this through and see what would be the best option.

For now, just going to wait till Monday.

    @sbedm @saintdean @bereank

Thank you for the advise. I was unsuccessful in APM in the March 2020 attempt as well. That’s why I thought maybe I shouldn’t go ahead with it again.

I am going to wait till Monday, just trying to make myself ready for all of this.

It really is ironic how all this has happened. Two weeks back, I cannot packed all my ACCA books neatly cause I was so sure I have passed them all.

Will definitely wait till Monday but considering the number of people who has received them, I am not so confident any more. But if I have come this far with excellent results in other exams, can’t let this failure stop me from achieving my dreams.

Everyone who like me hasn’t received the email, what are you planning on doing?

Has anyone started looking into other papers for the optionals they are going to attempt?

I am thinking of going for ATX in place of APM.

Considering I didn’t get the email I should prepare for the next step.

I took SBL and APM this attempt, so if I did fail, SBL I have to retake that, but for APM, I can go with ATX and AFM.

So I am thinking of going with ATX, any tips from you guys. I scored very high in TX so hoping I can do this well as well.

I am a finalist as well and haven’t received the email.

Really disappointed and disheartened. I have no idea what to think, I will wait for Monday but if the results of these emails are true, than I guess I might never appear in a paper ever again.

Really bad governance on their side.

@raonanuga, it depends upon the subscription we have done. I think I had it customized to get many emails.

Hopefully good news for us all. Finally a finalist, looking forward to the results.

Completely agree. I am a finalist myself and trying not to freak out or look into depths of every email. Just try to relax and the results will be out soon.

I have successfully completed my BSc in the period 40 on my first attempt with B grade and 1st class degree. I would like to express my utmost gratitude to my mentor, Mr. Adrian Tan, from The Learning Luminarium (TLL).

Through Mr Adrian’s guidance and critical feedback and evaluation of each little element in the RAP, I managed to complete my RAP within 2 months’ time while working full-time job and studying for an ACCA paper. His analysis of the RAP helped me understand and develop a critical and broader view of how to tackle such Research and Analysis report.

I was also the first recipient of the Scholarship that is offered by the TLL and I would highly recommend all the students to go check it out and try to avail it.

Good luck to the future class of OBU BSc.
