The recommended approach as you is to go to CIMA first and then external auditors, trade/regulatory body and seek legal advice.
And if all gets nowhere then to dissociate from the situation.

So under no circumstance wld an accountant approach the tax authorites or lenders to report a breach? Am I right?

A follow up question on risk registers:

If I had to pick 3 of the following statements which are TRUE:
    1. Monetary value of risks should be allocated if possible
    2. Probabilities of risk occurring shld be included
    3. The register shld include all the risks to which the co is exposed
    4. The register shld include details of who is responsible for dealing with each risk

    Would you pick 2, 3 & 4 then? But isn’t 1 also true?

However it is the govt of Ctry X who have increase the bank lending rate considerably, I was not sure if this was a trick question.

Isn’t gearing risk the risk associated with high debt levels in relation to equity and not so much to do increases in interest rates? Just wanted more clarity. Thank you.

    Just to clarify:
    1. Is the Chairman typically part of the Nominations Committee given the Chairman’s leading role in determining the composition and structure of the Board?

    2. Is the CEO usually part of the Nominations Committee given the CEO’s role in selecting and evaluating Board Members?

    3. Is the Audit committee comprised of only NED’s?

    Thank you.
