Hi i used Acowtancy as well as open tuition on and off for all my exams. I liked them both for different reasons depending on the exams!

    Hi

I keep thinking they may not be centre based. However I did sbl from home in July and really enjoyed it. As all my test centres are minimum of 30 miles away not having to contend with traffic and parking I thought was heaven! Helped my anxiety no end! I was worried about needing a wee but as I was concentrating time flew by quicker than expected! My only flaw was it was raining and I could hear my cat crying to be let in but I couldnt leave my workspace!!

But other than that positive experience hope it puts your mind at ease!

@irena2017 me too I did terrible worst mark I’ve ever known anyone get in it but wrote lots thought I understood it and walked out confident. Yet normally I think I’ve failed and somehow pass. I’m not sure what to do now either. It was my first time using classroom tuition rather than open tuition so I’m thinking about gravitiating back.

I failed drastically with 21 and thought I’d done OK after the exam. I’ve never failed by that much on anything

Passed 56% thank you john from the bottom of my heart. Your lectures were fun to watch and kept me interested in a subject I found so hard to grasp.

    Thank you

I’m waiting for f9 too. It’s my third attempt but had a 4 year break since my last exam until now. I forgot how anxious this waiting was! I’m sure I’ve failed but I’ve still got that hope I’ve somehow scraped a pass.

I struggled with the npv with the tax allowances with the 100 allowance I wrote it off as no tax but I really was clutching at straws and could think! Then when it said 3 m reducing the next years by 50 percent I couldnt for the life of me think whether that meant 3 mil them 1.5 or 2 years at 3 mil! Just simple stuff then think I put 5k not 5m for scrap so think I majorly messed up something that should be so simple. I’m really annoyed with myself….for the dividends theory bit i wrote about the irrelevance theory residual theory and clientele effect I didnt mention m and m though 🙁

Think I may be resitting in dec. I put so much time into this aswel think nerves got to me

    @nikole25 said:
it is also my..attempt!more than three times i failed by 43%.
This time i also thought that i passed for sure, because not only i have solved but also i felt confidfent with all the questions.I also cannot understand what is happening and i dont believe that the way of final review of our papers is 100% pure..
We should be able to see our script and observe where our mistakes were.Otherwise how are we supposed to know for sure what went wrong, where to focus next time and improve and get a pass?

I agree i felt the same i was comfortable with the questions and when i came out was speaking to people and was happy with what i had put as it was the same. Turns out they all got 70 odd and i failed yet i we all discussed similar answers. May attempt again in decemeber but got to work out how to revise for multiple choice 🙁

Failed 45% i really felt like i had passed the questions all seemed ok. I just cannot seem to do multiple choice think i doubt myself too much. Not looking forward to even more of it been multiple choice cutting out even more method marks. Think my days and the acca may be done now as i cannot see myself passing now.

Per open tuition website notes :

ACCA Administrative Review explained for students who had a marginal fail, scored 48-49 marks.

If you are unhappy with your exam result, then you can ask the ACCA for an administrative review.

This review will NOT mean that your exam is remarked.

The ACCA will only check that the marks have been added up and recorded correctly.

They will also tell you whether each question passed or failed, but they will NOT tell you the marks for each question.

You must enclose the appropriate fee (per paper):

FIA – All papers (per paper) – £52
ACCA Qualification Knowledge Module (per paper) – £52
ACCA Qualification Skills Module (per paper) – £52
ACCA Qualification Professional Level (per paper) – £52
    DipIFR – £52

The closing date to submit your administrative review request is 2 March 2015.

If you would like to request an administrative review you can now submit your request using our online service at myACCA. Alternatively, you can complete the form (see ‘Related documents’) and submit to:

    Examination Operation Services,
    ACCA, 2 Central Quay,
    89 Hydepark Street,
    Glasgow G3 8BW, UK

    Hope this helps
