Oh okay. So for eg if in a qs both the debt capacity and the debt amount needed are given I should use debt capacity for the calculation. However there isn’t any such question.

Sir the qs Burung does ask for the assumptions but there is no assumption in relation to the rate used.

Sir I am so sorry but why are we swapping the principal again at the end?

The bank is arranging a swap with the counterparty. The counterparty will take out the loan in $ and burecys in euros and they will swap principal immeditely. But what are they swapping again in 3 years time?

Sir Mock 1 qs Retilon its starting with selling futures right . I am a bit confused because in part a we are buying futures , however part b mention that we sold it yet just wanted to confirm.

I just realised that we didnt calculate combined co value but only martravers home value after acqusition. we basically dont know the combined comapny value.

Sir I have a doubt in this qs. I have practised alot of such qs but the calculation of westparley is a little different to what I have seen in other qs.

Usually additional value created is calculated as follow:

combined value of firm /equity – value of individual companies.

then the amount of premium paid to the target is deducted from the additional value.

Remaining value is for the acquirer shareholders .

However in this qs the combined company value using FCFF is lower than westparley market value of equity.

Sir I am a bit confused which method to use when.

Sir the difference in the opening price or closing price is a gain or loss depends on what?

The BPP qs retilon ( mock1) is calculating a loss on the increase of prices where as qs daikon is calculating a loss on the increase in prices.

if futures contracts are sold like in qs retilon and the price increase at the end of the day then what does this mean?
