For q1 I got calculating Goodwill and NCI but with foreign exchange differences.

Q2 was ethics but more to do with ethics of spyware as apposed to accounting treatment, very confusing!

Q3 was impairments of warehouse, can’t remember much else.

Q4 was share based payments, nightmare!

Think I’ll be lucky to get 25%

My section C was NPV worth 5 marks with then some sensitivity calculations, I could do sensitivity to sales volume but could not remember how to work out sensitivity to discount factor!
The other was the cash operating cycle, got 41 days. Then explain 3 ways to reduce cycle and a 6 mark question on why cash is important to a business, my answer would probably get 2 marks at the most!
I also had a Miller Orr question but forgot to square the deviation and change interest rate to daily so no marks there!

I only adjusted the NCI share of profit for amortisation of brand, from memory their profit was about (3050-220)x20%. I thought the Property belonged to the Parent so wouldn’t affect the NCI?

I also got ratio analysis for cheese business but my mind went blank for net asset turnover so didn’t put anything and also didn’t show gearing as a %. I left the 14 mark explanation question until last and only ended up writing a couple of lines!!!

I think I got the same section C question as you. I also got a profit for the NCI and a loss for the Parent company.

I really struggled with the exam. I’ve done a lot of revision on consolidated sofp and financial instruments but neither came up. I’m just thankful statement of cash flows didn’t come up either!
