Thanks for your reply. im looking at acca website at the moment but can’t find any articles on these topics. do u mean technical articles? there’s no technicle article on IFRS 10,11,12,n 13. i’ve found some brief notes in OT course note. sorry to be a pain but can u put me to right direction. where on acca website i can find these? sooo need to pass this exam.

Hi Sir, I’ve now found notes on IFRS 10,11,12 and 13 in OT Course notes. and they are brief notes as you explained to Koralee.
My question is – do you think these brief notes are sufficient to get pass mark on questions related to these IFRS’s as i don’t have latest Kaplan’s exam kit for detailed information on these IFRS’s?

Well, i think i should be personal choice. personally i would answer the question that i feel most comfortable with. if i think i cud answer a question in part b and score maximum mark i would do that first and by the time i finish doing that (hopefully!!) my nurve would be lot calmer bcoz i’ll know that i’ve scored some mark and with calm head i’d move on to the more difficult question coz then i would think better.

try studying SME’s and financial instrument. and look at past paper’s q4. examiner seems to examine variety of topics….

Hi Deanogerrard,
Yes there’s one question i’ve come across. Have a look at past paper June 2010. Section A ‘Ashanti group’ is SOCI. Its a good question to practise.
i wouldn’t ignore it bcoz SOCI didn’t come up for last couple of papers so it might be this time round! also which ever text book you are using there should be some practise question related to SOCI.
Have you done anything on SME’S? any idea how the question might come for this topic? would there be any calculation or purely theory based? i’ve only got a technical report on IFRS for Sme’s. not sure what else to look at. any help would be much appreciated.
