thanks I was just clarifying if the break meant that they need to be able to see you at all times and that bathroom breaks per say were not allowed.

This small screen was forced upon me in my cbe exams so far. Moving the scroll bar from side to side to read and answer the questions especially constructed response one were absolutely horrid and took away so much of my time and attention away. Why arent exam centers forced to provide bigger screens? its unfair to the students. Also no 6 ft apart..

I find it particularly difficult to read the section c questions on a computer screen having to move back and forth to find the info on the question and click back on the excel sheet..my computer was the smaller one not sure what size that is..another issue i had was i kept seeing questions unseen on my screen..when i clicked on it i saw that i had done it already i did this many times same result, strange..i decided to go back from the beginning to end only to see questions undone in the last 10 mins..so now i have no idea what i did or did not do…i knew the answers just had no time to calculate….? i hope i get at least a 50

I took a read on the acca website and we are required to put 0 in if there is no adjustment on an item…marks for that 🙂

Yes I agree that the sound of 15 other candidates typing was very off putting. Even so, I completed all the questions within the allocated time.

sorry that was supposed to be 6/15 and i think i figured out the error..the amount should be reduced by the amount of years used so therefore that figure would now be computed as 9/15

Not a problem also can you check the answer for practice question 2 KATE on page 227 of OT notes..The non savings computation for the taxable income is incorrect. I do believe it should be 33500 so that would also make the Non Savings and Savings computations incorrect.

The answer that I have arrived to is 7245 TAX Payable. Can you please tell me if my computations are correct.

    Thanking you.

is it that disposals are firstly computed and then we move to any balancing figures afterwards if any providing it is not a balancing charge?

There is enough on the OT notes for you to pass..every question I got was from notes..didn’t touch a text jus bpp practice kit..just notes and lectures, flash cards on here as well..use the OT mock exams a few times..always get diff questions..

listen to the lectures with the notes..use practice revision kit..i used bpp..and then re read notes and do OT mock exams a few times…everything that was in the exam were in OT notes so there is more than enough for you to pass comfortably…two days before i made sure i knew everything in notes and did the mock exams here and went through flashcards on here as well…thank you so much sir and all the tutors for sharing the wealth of knowledge and to everyone on here who tutors and guides us accordingly with the tonnes of questions students have daily…will make a donation again and whenever i can…

45% second sitting after 48% first time. That’s including 2 cbe application failures and me having to sit there like a total lemon for 30 mins before they fixed it. Hated the cbe style

I’m honestly speechless though as I though I did enough to pass

    Hate the ACCA!

i know the feeling…dont give up…i dont like the cbe either….it was difficult for me compared to pb…also the girl next to me was typing so loudly…no one said anything to her so i had to take it all through the exam…move on and just study another and revise this…you can do it..

OMG….failed this paper once again..went from 45 to 39?? i dunno yes..oh well so i know 39% of the work…i am gonna try harder….dont give up…move on to another paper and study it throughout and master the f8 during that time…
anyways i was waiting for a msg that i actually passed and not failed lol..thought i did the paper really good as i knew everything..i probably didnt write enough or just too many distractions with the person next to me typing extremely LOUD…

i struggled with the typing aspect of it as the my hands were uncomfortable..the edges of the desk were cutting my hands. This being the first time i did CBE it was alright despite the fact that the person next to me was typing so loudly just messed up my concentration initially..our exam centre also encountered some problems and the exam started late with some starting earlier than some.

With regards to substantive procedures I hope my answers were not to general as I thought i would be wasting time inserting the company’s name in order to apply to situation and just put entity instead. Also I stated the procedures correctly i think but forgot to put to ensure completeness, acccuracy etc. Would I not gain full marks for that?

I did both together and failed by five marks in each and studied them within three months..keep in mind that they r two difficult subjects with the lowest pass rates in all of Acca, they do need quite a lot of focus…but you can do it if you put in the work…revision kit is key and lots of practice…u actually do have a lot of time if u doing it in December…veryyyy doable…go for it…I enjoyed f8 not f5 but I think it’s a good combo…
