I actually had a further question. I realised after my above comment that simply working on a provision probably doesn’t count as unverifiable CPD since working on provisions themselves is something I should be familiar with from my studies already. So I’m thinking communicating with other teams who have to provide non FR info to my calculation might count instead, what do you think?

And I was also wondering if I have to fill in the “why did you choose this” and “what did you learn” for the unverifiable? And lastly, if I have a monthly meeting with other teams (FP&A or completely non-financial parts of the business or whoever), can I put in the dates for that as 01/01-31/12 and claim it as roughly 12 units?

Sorry for all the questions, I feel like it’s harder to find info about unverifiable than verifiable so I’m a bit lost!

    Hi Kim,

I let my unverified CPD fall by the wayside this year. Fortunately I’m on track for verifiable. I’m a little confused about how to break down my activities during work as unverifiable CPD. For example, if I spent many hours working on a complex provision in my job, can I claim it as say 5 units if it was about 5 hours of work?

    Thank you in advance.

I think you would’ve always been able to book an exam unless you’re awaiting results for your last exam.

Well I’d say the odds depend on how many sat final exams! Fingers crossed that today’s recipients aren’t the only new affiliates anyway.

Guys I’d say the December sitting is more popular than the September one so wouldn’t go by last sitting’s number of affiliates.

Received the congratulatory email today. Reluctant to get my hopes up but received a follow up saying it is genuine and accurate. Had been reading threads from when this happened in 2020 and not receiving the email really is no indicator…

So I guess that takes the sting out of Sunday night for me – but also takes out the excitement of finding out I’ve passed on the night in a way…

When you go to download your transcript you can choose between “Positive results only” or “All results”

Just realising I don’t think I said one was better than the other (but did say so in section B) FML!

For Forex I can’t remember what I did! For the S2 rate I did purchasing power parity twice. And for the FRA it was 12-18 at the higher rate.

I had an interest/fx rate risk, one about business valuations and one about maybe receivables days.
If anyone did the business valuation one where it asked for share price based on the yield being 6%, what did you get? Wasn’t sure about my calcs

My section C was WACC with capital structure and EAC with why discounted investment appraisal is better. Anyone else? Wasn’t sure about my answers for these. And was disappointed to not get a normal NPV

The children who live on my road have been playing football matches on the green every day (lots of screaming and shouting!) and I’m worried the noise from them will be an issue. There’s also an icecream truck that is likely to come around during the exam period. The room I’ll be sitting my exam in is at the front of the house so I’m really worried my exam will be cancelled because of it.
Has anyone sat an exam with outdoor noise going on?

    Thanks.
