A fail after a second attempt. I thought I was going to make it this time around but no, same old story. I will have to change my approach that’s for sure, all is not lost. I have lost the March 2021 battle but not the War. The ultimate goal is to win the War.

Congratulations to those who made it and to the one’s who failed let’s keep on pushing, this is part of the process. When the dust settles and we must go again.

    Dear Delamanisp,

Thank you so much for such informative advice. Time is still on my side, I can smash the September paper. What I have learned when it comes to the Strategic/ Professional papers is that the approach is a different ball altogether as compared to the Applied Skills exams. Grasp that and be successful.

Your advice is much appreciated Gerald. What i have observed is that when it comes to the question practice its not a child’s play.

I got the magical number 50% on first attempt. Congratulations to those who passed and for those who failed, they should never give up, this is a battle that needs to be won. All is not lost. Keep marching on. Unleash the beast in you, everything will fall into place. Practice is very key and the theory part is as important as the calculations when it comes to PM. It is advisable to use a current exam kit for practise, technical articles regularly for assistance, OT notes and videos and revision and mock exams. On another note,OT is the real deal, ever since i started using their free notes and videos,i have cleared three papers namely FM, TX and PM. Now i’m going straight to the Professional exams through their help.

I’ts preferable to use the current exam kits, because its aligned with the way the examiner ask the exams questions.

Dedicate a lot of time when it comes to Taxation. My experience with( TX) is that, it’s one of the long syllabuses coupled with rules which changes very often and that i think it applies to ATX as well. Determination and dedication will do.

Keep on practicing using the CBE platform, overtime you will realize that it is achievable to finish an exam using CBE. At first i was concerned just like you when the CBE was first introduced, but i have attempted 2 previous papers( F9 and F6) and able to finish the exams. So, all is not lost, keep on practising , you will see the difference. On another note i am also tackling PM this march. Good luck
