I personally found it extremely unfair not to be able to choose a paper version. So disappointed with the kinda “Excel” sheet on CBE. It is such a shame that ACCA is such a rich organisation and it saves our money on skilled IT experts to improve the system.

I did the Global version (75% pass, studying 2 months while full time job)

My approach:
1) Theory: BPP Book (old Version 2017/2018, for free)
2) Practice: Revision Book from Kaplan and Pocket Notes from Kaplan (I bought them)
and Revision kit from BPP (old Version 2017/2018, for free)
3) Mock Exam from the ACCA official web site on COMPUTER.

I did not use the opentuition this time, cause I personally could not profit from the lecturer on opentuition. It did not work for me and I am glad I realised it right after first video.

Hi, I passed CBE on 29th May in Germany (München). I guess that CBE are slowly opening everywhere. May be you can call to the center directly? Good luck!

Is this exam in the format of multiple choice ?
OR are there questions where you have to type the full answer? (I am not totally sure)

@Vijay: depends on your level.
For me only opentuition would NOT be enough.

I remember that some details explained in the Kaplan book have been missed on opentuition. So, I learned theory from Kaplan book, if I had questions – I watched opentuition videos. At the same time, I found some strategy on opentuition ( i.e the impairment and revaluation method Mike has explained in his video) easier to grasp than in the book.

Lastly, my subjective opinion – stick to one major source of studying. Don’t study BPP and Kaplan and Opentuition all at the same time. It will be very confusing, as different providers suggest slightly different calculation technics (methods?) to come to the same results.

@conteh123 start next time your exam with the Part C directly and make sure you don’t spend more than 1 hour there! If you are beyond 1,5 hour for Part C – leave it. It is time for Part A and Part B. Do quickly the questions in Part A and B you know, skip (!!) the one you are not sure yet and which seem too complicated. You might be surprised that there some easy questions which you can actually do under less stress if you have a right strategy.

In the end go back to all skipped questions.

@ cathyspicy : I have just done FR and passed it. Would recommend:
1) to put attention and start in the exam with the part C: consolidation and DISPOSAL (dont ignore the disposal part, although it is just one chapter). For me it was a new topic and was the hardest.
2) to make sure you know leasing; understand when to do depreciation and not under R&D costs.
3) I dont know why but this time we had no questions about Cash Flow, but i will still recommend you to practice this part as well.
4)Any theory regarding what is fin. statement, what is fin. asset…etc., I read 2-3 hours before the exam. At least 3-4 questions will be about this part as well.
5) Do do do previous 5-6 exams. I think this has helped me really a lot in the last week before the exam.

Hello Mike & everyone,

I am a bit confused with this exam (I am quite new to ACCA). It is “on demand” exam right? So, it doesn’t appear within the ACCA exams’ schedule…How can I know when is the next exam? Does it depend on the country I plan to write it?

And second question, do you think 2 months of study are enough (for a full timer?) to pass? Consider studying 25 hours per week?
