My most sincere recommendation to Irwin from https://learningluminarium.com/ for guiding me through the process of writing the RAP.

Like many people I went into it having little idea on what to expect and how to begin. Irwin gave me the pointers I needed on each step on the way and even when I didn’t yet see the whole picture I always knew what the next step would be.
Despite the size of the task I never felt stuck and Irwin’s feedback was always incredibly quick. He knew what the markers want to see and motivated me to polish some of the rougher edges of the work in the last couple of weeks before the deadline.

All this effort resulted in my RAP being given an A mark which was beyond my expectations.
Thank you for your help Irwin!

Huge thanks and a big recommendation to Irwin from https://learningluminarium.com/ for mentoring me through my RAP. Irwin was friendly, patient, objective as well as quick and precise with his feedback – from the beginning I knew I was in good hands.

He guided me through the process step by step and broke things down into manageable chunks so I never felt too overwhelmed. I ended up creating a strong report and was left with a hugely satisfying feeling that, even though I would not have done it without Irwin’s guidance, I’ve done the hard work myself – a testament to his mentoring skills. Thanks!

    Hi Gillian

I’m glad you think the topic is suitable because like I mentioned I find the whole story quite fascinating.
Exactly like you said, the premature release was both due to several prior postponements and the fact that the studio wanted it out by Christmas. Still, it was a disaster.

Thank you for your help. This clarifies a lot for me and I couldn’t hope for a better starting point for the project!

    – Mat

    Hey there.

Can you be more specific about the question? Point to the example or write the question down for us.

    Hey,

I used BPP books to study for Tx and I thought they were great. I generally like the layout of BPP books more than Kaplan’s. I used both the study and the exam kit in connection with the Opentuition lectures and passed the exam comfortably.

I can’t compare with Kaplan as I have not used Kaplan’s book for Tx at all.

    Good luck!

I had none of the question you guys mentioned 🙂
For me the exam wasn’t too difficult in general aside from dates and administration which I neglected and there were more questions from this area than I expected. Also, I had a section B question with IHT which was pretty tough for me too, lots of PETs and CLTs.
Part C was easier, both 15 mark question had a lot of profit adjustments, which I was happy with.
    Should be a pass.

This is the first time I hear about screen size requirements. I don’t think the issue was brought up earlier or during the December session. I will have no choice but to attend the exam using a smaller screen as the exam is in four days and I have no other laptop/PC to run it on.

    Hi John.
I know this is an old topic but I did not want to start another one for the same problem.
The question is taken from Kaplan exam kit and the answer is states as:

Cash generated from operations (?) 419,254
    Tax and dividends paid (87,566)
    _______
Net cash from operating activities (?) 331,688
Purchase of property, plant and equipment (47,999)
Proceeds from sale of property, plant and equipment 13,100
    _______
Net cash from investing activities (34,899)
    Redemption of loans (300,000)
    _______
Net cash from financing activities (300,000)
    _______
Decrease in cash and cash equivalents (3,211)

What I don’t understand here is why are increase in payables,
decrease in inventory and increase in recievables not being considered.
They are all used in calculating cash generates from operations right?

    I would appreciate you help!

I have the same question (1). Is having the diploma enough to start applying for junior positions in accountancy? How about CAT, is it a big step up?

    Many thanks,
    Mateusz
