My Q3 was acquisition of subsidiary for which investment was put as ‘long-term investment’. I wrote that goodwill should have been calculated. I think it was qualified opinion with except for.

The other part of Q3 was KAM. Which matter should be included – I chose inventory valuation and system. Third one I said shouldnt be included in the KAM.

Q1 was very tricky – i couldnt understand what they meant by revenue being net of 14m??
I felt the whole question mainly focused on R&D.

What expiry date you used when choosing futures. I was so confused, transaction is 1st of Sep so at first at picked December’s futures then I went for September, thinking that it expires at the end of the month, leaving 1 month unexpired basis.

I think exam was fair enough. Found it difficult to write about sales and marketing strategy so just wrote about knowing your customers, performing market segmentation, doing targeted marketing, using e-marketing and social media, creating brand image around environmentally sustainable products.
Question about explaining why trainee accountant was allowed to post without approval and provision caught me off guard, all common sense answers.
Organisational structure i think i messed up, suggested flat without even knowing what it is 🙂
Thank god there was no <IR> or ICO or Cyber Security…

I had a sale of subsidiary and suggested not to sell. What points did you make?

Section A with very littlle calculations, mainly tricky theory. Section B was convertable loans, did anyone get that floor price right? Was very confused.. Section C NPV and WC question. Overall I thought I was better prepared for it.
