For ABC you need to divide The overheads using different activities & when you get the total cost per activity you divide by the number of units !! If they asked for ABC they asked for a specific cost related to an activity !! I believe they gave you number of setups & number of orders !!

The level of confidential information on each department is solely dependent on the priority level of each directors. An IT wouldn’t know who should have access and who shouldn’t!! He could only check the total login & logouts with location trace !! Different passwords at different levels of information will help to prevent confidential information!! The directors are free to choose whichever & whoever they want !!

What was the ABC question that you found difficult?? Let me try & help if u can explain!!

Even if your calculations are wrong, and the wrong calculations makes your discussions relevant in that situation , the examiner will allow you some mark, own figure rule ! You won’t be penalised twice.

Did they give any C/S ratio? If they did, FC/ C/S ratio = Break Even revenue / Break Even Units = The selling price !! Or it could have been done by FC per unit + VC per unit as they asked for selling price to Breakeven Eg : if the Budgeted units are 1000. FC is 5000 & VC is 8 per unit then Breakeven Selling price should be (5000/1000) + 8 = 13 per unit Total cost is 5000 + (1000*8) = 13000 Breakeven revenue is also 13000 (13*1000)!! If they give the selling price of $200 in the 2nd part maybe that wouldn’t be relevant in the first part !

When I see comments here, it takes me back to those days when I sat for this paper, being pretty much nervous about what I did in the exam. Luckily I cleared the exam in December 22 session. This paper is full of surprises, best wishes to all of you !! I passed the exam leaving 9 marks. So keep your hopes alive candidates. Wishing you all the best !!

Variable cost changes with output where as fixed cost does not change with output !! That why the VC is also increased when sales are increased!

What I understand by the feedback on my exam, Transfer Pricing is the reason to lose Marks, I wrote my best answer in the transfer Pricing question, I gave 40 minutes for the question, Answered 17 left 3 but I scored 6.4/17. It was my best answer ! SHOCKING. On Limiting factor question I answered 14 marks left 6 marks (didn’t have time) I scored 11/14. I took 25 minutes to finish the limiting factor question !!

I don’t know, maybe I messed up the Calculations on Transfer Pricing, maybe it was hard but I expected at least 12 Marks. But it is what it is !!

I’m thankful to God for a pass !! This paper is something man !!

How much did u get? If u fail by a big margin, don’t apply its a waste of money! If u fail by 1 or 2 marks, maybe a chance but in past history it never changed, at least I know of.

Make sure to watch all the video lectures with the note by Sir John Moffat, & clear the concepts. Pm is a difficult exam & without clear concepts its impossible to pass. I expected some 75% but ended with a borderline pass of 51%. Anything is possible with this paper. Don’t lose hope, u can make it !!

    @valeryis

I thought I would score something like 75% ish, but Ended up passing with borderline 51%. I left 9 marks & did not have time to answer !!

Acca has high experienced examiners team marking our answers maybe, they would only allow a mark if it is valid & relevant.

And the exam feedback should be Available, under details exam history in my acca account. But they are now limiting information to view the marks only. It should be updated soon & yes they will.be showing the marks % but not specific questions.

Brother, you can check where u went wrong in detailed exam history, they give a feedback!! Make sure to use the exam technique properly, I’m sure its the exam technique that u are lacking, not the technical knowledge. I failed with 34% twice & this time I passed with 51% leaving 9 marks in section C I didn’t have time. Its all about exam technique.

Passed my PM exam on the 3rd attempt !! Got 51%, O my, my !! I’m so emotional right now !! ? I passed despite leaving 9 Marks in section C !! Didn’t have time !! Sir John Moffat, thank you so much, you’re my hero !! It wouldn’t have been possible without you. My exam was taken by a self study approach & open tuition resources.

Suggestions for candidates who couldn’t make it first time : Don’t give up, if u have failed, i was there, I know how it feels, I failed first 2 attempts with 34% & this time I passed leaving 9 marks from Section C. Its about the exam technique. Read the technical articles & practice section C from ACCA past Papers & practice platform, I didn’t do section C from the Kit !!

Never give up !! All of you are special & can make it 🙂 🙂 !!

The total Variable Production cost for Division Bed was 720 which is inclusive of 390. & Bed Division already bought it from Matress division which we needed to show as internal transfer cost for Bed Division & as we have included this in the internal transfer cost we have to decuct it from 720 for Calculating the External variable cost. If we don’t do this, 390 will be charged twice. They mentioned this in the scenario.
