@pkon yes I put similar risks mine had a bit that said I wasn’t allowed to discuss any risks in the acquisition of the new sub so couldn’t talk about that. Found the accounting procedures quite tough for the gain on disposal but listed more than 5 whether they were right or not who knows. What audit opinion did you give for the last question if you remember? This is my last exam so felt the pressure due to that as well I just want to be done but seriously doubting I done enough never felt as deflated as this

I had an awful variant of this exam. 22 marker for ROMMS on a group that had 20 subs and could not find that amount of risks for the amount of marks. So deflated as I couldn’t have revised anymore and no matter what I revised I wouldn’t have been prepared for that question. Also a 20 marker on sustainability which was ok but not great

Found the exam ok not sure if I wrote enough. My questions consisted of PE, gains group, VAT group and exempt sales, IHT, partnership or employee, close company, cgt on sale of lease, PPR, IHT rate of 36% and EMI shares

I had the acquisition, change model, 7 p’s, sustainability and risks of new software. Not sure I wrote enough and think i used the wrong model for the change. What model did everyone else use for change in culture?

Passed first attempt with 69% glad that one is out the way. Think it’s defo luck of the draw as I found revision very tricky but the exam was quite simple so I think I genuinely passed as I was lucky I got the easier paper. Good luck to those retaking in June.

I messed up on my MOS but my question it was only 5 marks? And it also asked you to discuss it so I do not believe all of the marks were just for the calculation. You always get follow on marks as long as you show your workings

I had the multiple choice as my first question about the printing. I worked out the sales revenue and then deduct the variable cost one of the answer they would have made a loss the other one they would B/E and then I used the next figure as it said minimum profit figure or something. Confused me being the first question as not seen anything like that before

I was way out then haha hopefully I can get between 14-20 marks on the section c from the other parts them to get the pass mark. Last one of my applied skills and I am glad can’t wait to move onto the strategic papers and advanced and finish ACCA now haven’t failed any so far and with working full time and 3 kids it’s ALOT.

Ermm no think I got around 70% lol don’t think it was right but I estimated that I got at least 36 marks from a and b so hopefully I can scrape 14 marks from section c. The adv and disadvantages of the transfer price being $4 think I will get quite few marks and hopefully I get some from the transfer pricing q’s really didn’t like the studying for PM was a lot. Most of the difficult stuff I revised for didn’t come up which was annoying but glad it didn’t

Found section a and b quite easy few were tricky and I know I won’t have gotten them right. Section c I had transfer pricing and cvp think I messed up with the transfer pricing but hoping I still get a few marks but the written part I done well in. Cvp I done ok I’m think I got a different MOS but same weighted average C/S ratio.

@HJohns tbh by the time I got to that question my head went blank and I sat there for about 20 mins before I attempted the questions so I believe I completely messed it up. I know I done well on the npv question found it quite simple but the nominal and real rate I think I spoke about them the wrong way around and section a and b I done poorly so believe it will be a resit first out of 5 and gutted never felt I done so poorly in any of my other exams

@HJohns I can’t fully remember the question but I’m sure it didn’t mention market value so I done the book value? How about you?

@HJohns personally I think they meant to discuss both as one is equity the other is debt and for 8 marks not sure there would be enough to have wrote about for just one? I’ve done 3 mocks and done majority of the past papers on ACCA and believe that they would require to discuss both not just one but who knows I’m a doubting everything right now

I also said debt is cheaper than equity and listed the advantages and disadvantages for both and then discussed the optimum capital structure. I tried to obtain marks any which way I could

It’s horrible I felt so confident with this exam revised so much and most of the things I revised didn’t come up no WACC questions no dividend growth no questions on the optimum capital structure traditional theory or the M&M theory even though I had a question about financing with debt or rights issue I wrote about it there just to add in. It has made me so deflated and down as I know I done terribly and this will be the first out of 6 that I fail. Super down about it

I don’t think the development costs were meant to be included? If it’s already been spent it is a sunk cost? Not seen it in practice questions but I was on the understanding anything that has been spent prior to the NPV calculation should not be included
