@Hagun527 Thank you for asking the question as I was confused as well. I hope it’s not like this in real exam.

    Thank you John for clariying.

I am over the moon with the completion of my RAP period 42 topic17 on the first submission. I thank Gillian Moorse from Absolute Mentoring for her help in getting me through this. She was patient, understanding and has a wealth of knowledge, advice and great mentoring style. Her replies were always prompt with constructive criticism and feedback which were helpful in prompting/encouraging me to think in another way/using a different approach to a matter. Gillian offers an initial meeting to discuss how she operates so that you know what to expect and what is expected of you. With everything ele that was going on with my job, I felt so anxious to do this project at the start but she made me feel at ease and confident after the initial meeting. You can also ask her about anything you are unsure of at this stage. Thank you again Gillian.

3rd time lucky with 58%, two weeks revising. lesson to learn, not to take two exams in a session when having a full time job, a family, and running Airbnb/host family. And TX and FM together is not an easy combo. Next is to tackle FM in Dec

It will be more difficult for an Indonesian to find an accountancy job in the UK, unless you are a specialist and those with skills much needed in the UK (engineering, agricultural). An EU national will have no problem finding job in the UK. I think Australia might be a better bet. And once successful and you have the experience working there it may be easier to get in to UK.

55% on second attempt with two weeks revising sparingly after 1st sitting in June. Failed F9 at 40% which I spent most of studying time on… 🙁

Got the feeling CBE questions are different for every person orbat least every a few different persons? Q36 was ratios, i think i did ok there. Q37 was a consolidated FP which I didn’t finish but did most of the workings. Secn B left a couple unanswered, no time to go back. Answered all Secn A which I think was OK too

Not too good. Hope to make it. Decision Tree, guessed; expected value, guessed; 3 out of the 6 balanced sc may have scored ok, 6 were guesses, hope to get something for them. All questions attempted, though the first 2 questions were not complete. Not confident on the school thing, but the the writing should be ok.

I found my answer! I should have read the part c) first before posting; it is in the discussions on negotiation between the divisions on transfer pricing.

    Thanks anyway…

    Help!

    Past paper F5 – Dec 2011 – Q.2 – Bath Co

Could anyone confirm with me please whether the answer in part b) on the inter-division cost is correct? I’ve got £1,500,000 and not £1,300,000.

Thanks in advance and Good luck to all taking exams next month!

Thought the exam was pretty standard and what I expected.

Thought it was very unfair the question on “tender”. The open tuition course notes didn’t refer to this, neither did the Kaplan book I’m studying from. Is this allowed ? I’m sure one book may refer to it from one of the providers, but is it right to include a question that isn’t covered by all and you’re discriminated against for not using a particular book.

I know it was only for a few marks, but what happens to any unlucky person who fails due to those few marks.

    – There a note a little bit on tender in Kaplan’s – invitation to treat – invitation to tender, auction, advertisement etc –

F4 – There were a few question which kept me on repeating myself especially in area of fraudulent trading. Quoted Guilford Motor v Horne at least a couple of time in that area and compulsory winding up (why?). left contributory negligence out as I was hesitating; I would have scored it if I had gone for it!

Overall I I thought I did OK in that exam, but looking through notes and book, I know I could have done much better.. c’est la vie..
