54% and affiliate too! Absolutely delighted!

    @duncan0107
please don’t do an admin review, it will not get you anywhere. I recommend taking a day to grieve and then just getting back to it for the next session.

I failed ATX last time with 48% and I also paid for admin review when I failed AA with 49%. I wish I listened when people told me to spend my money on resitting instead!!

Had ATX (Irish) in June. I am terrified as I feel I will be borderline over/under 50% ..so hard to tell. I can’t stop thinking about it this week. Its my last exam and I really hope I pass!!

    Best of luck everyone!

I had the same experience, clicked on the chat function. Message says someone will be with you but they never were.

    Very frustrating during the exam.

    Not a good day for Emma’s ?

That is tough. I don’t know your circumstances but if you are on painkillers after your surgery you might not be in the right mind for the exam in March. I would probably speak to the doctor about the recovery before booking it. Either way it will be a difficult few months for you.

I can’t book mine until June because the Irish variant of ATX is only available June and Dec!!

Also Irish student here that sat ATX as my final exam and didn’t receive the affiliate email!!

I know they said it happened to a batch of students in Ireland but come on I can’t help but feel devastated. Having to wait till June is not ideal but I don’t want to switch papers at this point.

    Good luck everyone!

Waiting on SBR results and so so nervous. Really it could go either way, I will be close to the 50mark.

    Hate these feelings while waiting.

My nerves are kicking in early this time around too and it’s not even my last exam.

Seems a lot of people found SBR difficult. I’m not sure if this comforts me or not!!! At least I’m not alone though!

So so nervous. I wouldn’t be very surprised if I have to repeat SBR.

    Just give me the 50!!!

@chris777 sorry I made a mistake. Another student showed me it was the old scheme amount to be apportioned. Answer part of consideration and take away from new scheme value , ans is expensed to p&l. The question is called Luploid from sept/Dec 2019 paper

So funny. I’ll be in the December ATX class, they don’t do it in September. I wanted to leave tax till last because it was my best in the F levels and wanted to end on one of my stronger ones.

I completed SBL in March with Shane! So many exhibits compared to SBR. It was very much exam technique and time management.

Best of luck with SBR results and I’ll “see” you in class for ATX haha

Yes I was studying with Liam too! He is very good, just hope I did enough to pass. ATX after this and then I’m done.

Are you doing another one with AS?

Oh I think you are right. old scheme x 2/3 = X and then X is taken from new value leaving Y and Y is expensed. Haha

I used the incorrect amount to apportion but did expense the balance. Then I checked a question when I came home and I confused myself even more haha.

I think it should be new FV (can’t remember the amount) less the 10m x 2/3.

I’m not sure though and I wasn’t sure whether to divide by 3 or 4 as 4 was the original vesting period and the higher amount but I went with 3.

For the share scheme. The difference between new and original scheme should be apportioned over the the time already vested by the higher of (total vesting period or time vested + remaining vesting period) the answer to this is part of the consideration. The answer is taken away from new scheme value and balance is expensed in p&l.

I did this except I forgot that the amount to be apportioned was difference of new and old. I apportioned new scheme value instead. While I was doing the question I knew I was missing a step but really just couldn’t think. I checked a similar question when I got home.

I’m not too sure about this exam. I ran out of time and rushed the last 2 qs. I could’ve done with another hour haha.

The question comparing digital and manufacturing company’s statements I used as a chance to talk about integrated reporting.

I can’t even remember the qs after that because I rushed them and briefly jotted things down.

I actually didn’t mind Section A. I could make a fair attempt at these. Section B was rushed and a complete mess for me

    @shobhit
I did finish the exam but had to rush the last two questions due to time. I’d be more confident if I had more time but I’m hoping I did enough to pass.

    What about you?

Great, it’s your last one! I have SBR and ATX to go.

I had the variant with the:
Section A: Performance report, EVA and BCG Matrix

I spent too much time on section A but I think this section went okayish (I hope) – although now I am reading that some people didn’t recommend alternative measures due to the boards request. I did suggest some alternatives like EVA but mainly focused on objectives and how the current measures are linked to these objectives.

Section B – Q2 Risk and Uncertainties – I was rushing this answer due to time. I left this one for last and didn’t get to finish the last question with the bronze, silver and gold projects – That was 10 marks- I started it but didn’t get to put much into it before time was up. Out of curiosity which one of these quality projects did people go for?

O3 – Balanced scorecard and information systems – I was time conscious and again rushed through this so I would have enough time to go back to the risk question. I feel if I had more time as mentioned before 4 hours – I would have answered this one well. I gave pros and cons of the BSC and at the end said it wasn’t balanced as lack of long term focus – More customer measure needed – maybe a survey – service industry should include more NFPI’s and way to measure these – external benchmarking.

Now it’s the long waiting game. Good luck everyone.

This was my 3rd remote exam but the first one that I had technical issues with. The issues were due to low disc space on my laptop which hadn’t been an issue on system checks. Just wanted to note this for others that may have low disc space remaining.

@ndevic88 My advice is not to waste your money on an admin review.

When the mark is so close to a pass, ACCA recheck the marks and make sure it is correct.
I researched Admin Reviews because I failed AA with 49% previously. I couldn’t find one person that had their exam marks changed because of a review. I went ahead with a review and thought it wasn’t worth the money. The feedback is general and not great.

Passed 57% first attempt. Such a relief for me. Next onto APM.

Sorry to those that failed – I know how disappointing it is.
