firstly; watch all the OT lectures, record everything you see in the lecture as basis for understanding. Then read all the ACCA study questions, then purchase the Kaplan exam kit. I learn better from doing rather than reading, so attempt the ACCA practice exams (you will do terribly first time), read and understand how each answer is dervived. Then eventually you will be able to answer the questions in your own words. Finally, top this up with Steve Willis Mock debriefs from ACCA, he provides some greater understanding on the topic and asks you to really think about why something is the answer. It also will help with nerves as the ACCA answers for the exams look incredibly bulky but nobody would be answer to the exam spec. It’s really important that you understand this.

I have self studied all exams (including foundation) in this manner.

pass 65% – watched all Opentution vides, watch the videos and then write notes which are the exact same as the video (not ideal), then use BPP practice questions. I also reccommend listening to Tom Clendon’s podcast as he discusses alot of topics and you can listen whilst on a run or on the commute.

@anniebabe buy the BPP revision questions, go through all the questions, write notes (I only refered to maybe 10 lines in total of my notes) and just hammer the practice. For this exam, alot of the marks can be obtained from section C if you show understanding and further knowledge.

I passed it with 72%. For practice questions, buy the BPP exam question kit which is about £12, its all you really need. This was all independent study.

Thank you for your thoughts. it really made me laugh in a weird way to get 49% and fail.
    I will consider this.
