Best way would be joining a study course for the case study where they show you how to answer the questions and also mark your mock exams. Past exam papers and looking at their solutions on the CIMA website would also help. Of course you still need to know the content but from an overview level, the detail then comes from using the actual fictional company to apply it to the scenario.

You need to do both but more importantly exam technique and applying the solution to the given company is what you need to practise.

you need to join a course for example with Kaplan, the case study is very different to the objective tests. Its about application of your knowledge to the fictional company, your approach and exam technique are quite vital to passing the case study (which is taught on the courses). Also its not an academic exam so learning everything in all the text books isnt the right preparation, its an exam of professional competence in how you apply your knowledge to specific given scenarios in the exam to the company.

I must’ve been one of the few that thought it went well. Section C 3 E’s question was regarding the performance of a not for profit organisation in this case 3 universities from Neverland. You just had to use the data given in the table to describe the performance of the institutions in line with the three E’s and the objectives the universities had been given in the question. Quite similar to the past paper section C question on a hotel and water park on the ACCA website. So your answer would be structured around how the institutions were meeting their objectives or not, using the data such as university using its resources effectively which you could relate to the money paid via payroll to staff / the number of staff. Or even university performance based on the student surveys data which was given.
