I thought the APM question was fine – they shouldn’t give APM more prominence than IFRS (which they did by putting it in bold), nor should they give an over optimistic view of company performance. And the question said specifically about usefulness and appropriateness to investors – that bizarre speculative statement on what profit could’ve been wasn’t appropriate and giving a misleading view of profits when really you are loss making is just trying to mislead investors

I’m having the same problem – I’ve peer reviewed 12 presentations now and over half have been completely unrelated to the assessment. Are there really that many people trying to sneak through without doing the task or is it a technical issue?

I’ve also noticed that not one of the assessments out of the 12 I’ve seen have had notes in the notes section below the presentation slide (which is a requirement). Mine does, and I haven’t passed twice because apparently mine has “no notes” either based on my feedback! Which makes me think do the notes not show when you download a ppt file from the portal? Seems bizarre that NO ONE has included notes…

Very frustrating part of the module!!

I was typing til the very last second and it timed me out before I could press submit exam – my exam will still be submitted right?! Surely I’m not the first person ever to do that

    Thanks

Hi Caoimhe, congrats to you too! I’m the same – going to wait til June but currently torn between SBL and AFM while FM is fresh in my memory. I’m daunted by the 4 hour SBL exam! My plan is to do the Ethics and Professional Skills module in the next couple of weeks and see if that makes me feel more prepared or sways me either way. I suppose I have to do both eventually anyway 🙂

I don’t know what to think! So much of the syllabus just wasn’t tested.

I had cash flow and replacement cycles for section C. Was expecting WACC.

Feel like the cash flow question took up so much time that I’ve wiped all section A and B from memory. We will see what happens!

False. I put both statements false. Second statement was about learning rate not effecting variable overheads, but question said they were affected by labour hours, so false.

After all that – half an hour before the end of my exam, all my workings on the scratch pad disappeared!! This rule is ridiculous. The people who came up with it have a lot to answer for.

Has anyone else who has successfully rebooked for a remote exam not received a confirmation email? I booked over 2 hours ago and am worried I’ve received no confirmation, although I can see the invoice on my account, the credit from cancelling the previous exam has gone.

No I went into the booking platform as normal, then where I’d normally select CBE there was a home option. I booked TX-UK
