Congrats eagledave! I remember reading some of your comments that you have few papers left. Now you are done with it! I wish this will happen for me one day. I keep failing F5. I am so sick of it. Its super hard to stay motivated and believe that I will ever pass it. Looking at the same stuff again and again makes me question my ability…..

    Hi Everyone,

I just want to let you know that I am in very similar situation. I have started ACCA few years ago.Now struggling with F5..keep failing marginaly. I am sick to death with ACCA. But I know if I give up I will never forgive this to myslef. I have learnt along the way (aslo as few people said above) that this journey is a lot about yourself. Getting to know how much you can push yourself and how to believe that you can do it. I found it extremly hard……hard to believe that one can I will say I have completed ACCA!

    Hi Michaelao,

Im based in ireland too and im aslo doing PM in march. How you feel about it? What is your study technique?

I passed F6 irish tax in december. There are only 2 sessions per year for this one (june and december) i would recomend you to do it in june. Only because december is so far away.Just remember that there are going to be few changes like vat rates etc.

    Good luck,

    A

    Hi Harenlauch,

My situation is a bit simiar to your one. I have started acca in 2014, got few examptions. Since then I am struggling with focus, motivation etc. CBE exms are so hard. But as you said I dont want to be a looser so I will keep going…..

Best of luck and fair play to you for coming back and finishing the qulifiactions….

    Thanks,
    Anna

    Hi Karampoofi,

I have the same problem as you. I have attempted the exams many times with almost pas marks.
I think the key is to practice as many questions as possible…..but any other advise is more than welcome 🙂

    Hi Samirrules,

Thank you for all the support. I will work hard for the next few months and I will clear the exams. I have already printed new notes from OT for F5. I am going to watch all the lectures and to the notes together. Also I am going to practice lots of past papers and go revision book. Hopefully by the first week in June I be ready 🙂

    Dear Samirrules,

Thank you so much for your replay. Yes my scores are around 40s/high 30s. I have a feeling that I have good understanding o the subject. My problem is that at the exam I cant pull out the correct info from the questions. Also often when I am doing questions at the exam I get easily lost and mess up a lot of things.

Should I practice more past papers and revision book? I find that I am good in theory but not so good in calculations. My biggest pitfall are variances. I absolutely cant get my head around them. And as my unfortunate they came up few times in last papers.

Also I am good at planning but the execution of a plan is hard. I get very easily demotivated.
But now I want to study really hard as I have wasted so much time and so much money. I am very sick of it. I am planning to do f5 and f6 in June.

Thank you for listening to me. Much appreciated.

    Hi Pauljaco

Dont worry you are not alone! I failed too. Whats the point of giving up? Keep going is only for next year for two and after that you will have rest of your life free. Keep going! Take few days break and start again. You are not a failure as long as you keep going.

    Hi Katalin,

    No problem at all 🙂
Well I have notes from college which is a good summary of textbook. And I think it is enough for the exam.Mainly I am working on past papers and BPP revision book.

Are you attending any college or just self-study?
