This was my seventh attempt at APM, having successfully passed all other ACCA exams. Previously, I struggled with poor time management and misalignment with examiners’ expectations, which resulted in scores in the range of 47-48. This time, I approached the exam with a clear strategy, ensured better time allocation, and attempted all questions. I am hopeful that these efforts will allow me to achieve the 50 marks required for success.

Performance reports and IR were fairly good but too much readying in exhibits eat up a good time. ERP and Building Block questions were too much time consuming then variance questions was tricky but I was not panic done fairly good after catching a method to calculate by ops and plan variance of material price and then labor efficiency variance and finally able separate gross profit margin variance amount responsible by production manager $0.13 for material price variance and $0.08 for labor efficiency variance and balance variance due to operational variance in price (3% inflation instead of 6%)

APM was ok but lost times of 15 to 20 minutes due to technical error..so unfortunately I could not attempt Q3 properly and missed two parts of the questions. In Q1. The brand survey was almost done with statistical probability but was not sure about the required approach i.e. brand impact was assessed by expected sales derive from the probability of brand biases into a portion of the sample representation…data silo in q2 ok but BSC part is less clear…

We should have been better aware of the new exam format to understand questions, especially 20 professional marks. EVA question decides to check our communications skills and how we are sceptical on the issues. My understanding was that rather than technical knowledge, our professional skills would have given a better mark on these questions definitely. I have practically used EVA in my working environment so it was ok for me anyhow we need to go beyond technical knowledge to score these types of questions.

I as feel Q1& Q2 done well but hedging Q3 was a complete disaster on done two-part. Coverage for hedging been restricted to SWAP is unfair too.
